Welcome to the Computer Science Dumping Ground

Not all of this was created by me, but what hasn't has been modified by me to suit my own purposes

When I get time I will make something that looks a bit more up to scratch (I'd like it to be automated so I don't have to edit HTML every time I want to add stuff. But for now here's a link to the Dumping Ground for CS and ICT resources.

About me

Ok so this is where I talk a bit about myself is it? Hmmmm...

Well I guess as this site is about Computer Science I should start with that.

I'm a Computer Science teacher in a UK secondary school in the North East of England. Personally I'm over the moon with the changes to the curriculum for 2014, I think it's long over due and is something that I have been doing personally, largely when I was in FE, (where I was free of the National Curriculum) for years.

I hold an MSc in Intelligent Systems from The University of Sunderland, where I was lucky enough to work with some of the top people in the AI field (and work with robots!)

I love technology, computers, electronics, sound & vision and lots of hands on stuff. Using tech to inspire and help people learn. I have often dug out my Lego Mindstorms robots, stood back and been amazed as to what groups of young people can pick up and learn with them in a short space of time.

Other than tech I also love Motor sport (always unavaliable when the Formula 1 is on, even if OFSTED are coming!), cycling, running, TV and of course video games. I even socalise at times too!
